OAK WELL CARVED FINIALS 4 MATCHING ANTIQUE

Description

Here's a prominent group of 4 extremely well hand carved oak finials from the late 19th century. Each piece is a sculpture of  Acanthus carving in a stylized Fleur de Lis design. I'm uncertain about the origin of these 4 matching finials. 3 of them have a heavy threaded iron screw suggesting they were fastened to something important and fairly large. The iron screws can be removed. Each carving is 12 inches tall and 6 inches wide ! The surface is the original untouched old varnish finish. I can think of a multitude of creative decorative uses for these in pairs or all together. I can't stress how deeply and well carved these finials are and I hope you can get the sense of that from the photos.
