Antique green glass sphere finial for a stairway newel post. The green glass is cut to clear; the pattern is circles and stars. The pattern of cut circles gives a beautiful optical illusion effect. Brass hardware base. Of note is a modest shallow dinging/scuff to the glass on the underside of the sphere, at the lower edge of one circle; see the final two photos for a close-up of that area.
