This is a rare four-page program (playbill) from the
"New" Las Vegas production of the
JERRY HERMAN musical comedy hit "MAME" at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. (The Original Broadway production opened May 24th, 1966 at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City and ran for 1508 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) .....
The musical starred
JULIET PROWSE
as "Mame Dennis" and featured ANNE FRANCINE, JANE CONNELL,
ROBERT R. KAYE,
WILLIAM GIBBERSON, JOHN McCOOK, RUTH GILLETTE,
GORDON CONNELL,

Side note: The first Las Vegas production opened December 27th, 1968 at Caesar's Palace starring SUSAN HAYWARD
as "Mame Dennis"
. She was replaced on March 10th, 1969 by CELESTE HOLM. The 1970 International Hotel production was a return engagement starring JULIET PROWSE who had earlier replaced GINGER ROGERS at London's Theatre Royal, Drury Lane during her vacation

DETAILS: The twelve page playbill measures 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes, list of musical numbers and bios of each of the leading actors but with the exception of the front cover, no cast photos ..... CONDITION: This playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
