The men of the Morgan family earn a living working in their small Welsh town's mine, where they face dangerous and unhealthy conditions, and exploitation at the hands of the mine owners. Winner of five Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Cinematography, and Best Director.
    Set in Wales, shot on location in California.
