Based on a 1945 magazine article by Fulton Oursler (writing as Anthony Abbot), in turn based on an actual incident involving a Catholic priest and a mentally unstable homeless man. A public attorney is hired to defend a strange out-of-towner accused of murdering a priest.
Set in Connecticut, and shot on location in Connecticut and New York.
