This kit changes the color of your shoe soles on any pair of heels.
Protects the shoe sole from damage with a thin rubberized layer on the area of the sole that comes in contact with the ground. This built in layer is both textured and rubberized to grip more like a tennis shoe instead of the typical smooth bottom of most heels. The rubber is soft enough not to scratch floors, but is also resilient to most oils and other chemicals. It also cleans easily to help keep the bottoms looking new.
Covers any damage or inperfections already on the shoes sole. It is flexible and will stretch to conform to the complex curves of most soles.
Self adhesive design that will work with virtually any brand shoe in any size. This is a complete installation kit with instructions and a precision razor blade.
Works best with any shoe with a heel (pumps, stilettos, boots, peep toe, etc).

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Thoroughly clean the shoe sole with the included wipes.  Apply the included clear strip to the bottom of your shoe sole and trace along the edge of the sole using a marker or pen.  Peel the clear off and apply to the back of the colored strip. Cut along the line. Repeat the process for the heel.
NOTE: The template traced on the left shoe will be the cut out for the right and vice-versa.  Because of this, we recommend cutting out both left and right before applying to avoid any confusion.
Apply the colored strip to the shoe sole starting at the toe.  Peel back the liner halfway and apply the area that covers the section of the sole that would contact the ground.  Be sure that the strip is lines up with the rest of the sole before firmly pressing down.
Spray a small amount of water on the arch area.  The water will help with positioning on the strip.  Peel the    remaining paper liner from the colored strip and apply to the arch, working any bubbles or creases out as you go.  Apply 20-30 seconds of heat with a blow drier, then press the material down firmly, working as much water out as possible.  Apply the strip to the heel area in the same manner(spray, position and heat).
Trim off any overhanging pieces with a razor blade or edge of the scissors if needed.  Allow several hours before wearing the shoes for any additional water to evaporate.

Q: What size shoes will the shoe bottoms work for?
A: The kit is a universal one size fits all. It comes as a strip that is cut to shape to fit the bottom of any shoe in any size. It will work for men's, women's, US and UK sizes.
Q: Do I need to glue them on?
A: The strips have adhesive already applied. There is a fine line between being so sticky that it will damage the bottom when removing and not sticky enough to stay on. The bottoms will work the best on clean leather or vinyl shoe soles. If the shoes are not new, be sure to thoroughly clean the sole. If they are very dirty, use a household cleaner like Simple Green in addition to the included alcohol swabs to thoroughly clean the sole. As a last resort, we have used IC-2000 Rubber-Toughened CA Adhesive Glue. Because of the rubber in this glue, it will adhear well to both the shoe sole and the cover. We are not responsible for any damage this may cause when removing the bottoms.
Q: How long will the shoe bottoms last before I need to replace them?
A: There is no set answer to this. It all depends on how much you walk and the surface you are walking on. Typically, with daily normal wear the bottoms should last several months. With occasional wear, it should last several years.
Q: How thick is the covering?
A: The clear thickness is .025 in. The colored is .030 in. This is the applied thickness after removing the backing.
Q: Do I need to have this professionally applied?
A: it is designed to be a do it yourself product. You can find the installation instructions above. There is a bit of skill involved to make the installation perfect, especially the first time applying them. If you are not a DIY person, you would probably benefit by having a professional do the installation.
