Theory of operation is by recording changes in the electrical resistance of vaginal mucus,
the breeder can establish symptoms of the upcoming estrous. In addition to detecting the best date of mating.
the detector may also be used to determine early pregnancy (from 19 to 23 days, following breeding). If the female animal is not pregnant, the device determines another estrous period occurring in those days. Measurements are easy to make and consist by inserting the probe into the animals vagina and reading the test measurement. To detect estrous or early pregnancy the breeder should make one or two measurements per day for several consecutive days.
