    Description

    This rule is 9” long and one edge is graduated in 1/8” increments, another in 1/16”, another in 1/32”, and another is 1/64”.
    It is marked “Brown & Sharpe Mfg. Co. Providence, RI” with the B & S logo. It must date to prior to 1964 because the company moved from Providence that year.
    It is also marked “Tempered #4.”
    I found it recently when I was cleaning out my parents’ home and both my father and grandfather worked at B & S for over 40 years.
    It is in good condition, but does need to be cleaned and has a small area of rust at one end. Please see the photos for a better idea.
