(2) Metric Shrink Rules- 300mm & 500mm with 5% Shrink- Patternmakers

Description

Pair of satin chrome finish rules for patternmaking. These are 5% larger then conventional rules, to allow for shrinkage of the metal in the casting process, allowing a nearer net shape of the final product. Historically, patternmakers
had shrink rules of numerous sizes (e.g. 5mm/m or 3/16" per foot). With the advent of CNC programming, though, factoring of the tool path has allowed this to be more automated process. Never-the-less, this has made these rules more significant to the inspection or QC process.
These are new rules in a plastic sleeve.
