    Description

Offered is this lot of two vintage "Playbill" programs from the National Theatre in Washington, DC. Included is the June, 1965 issue, featuring the musical "Oliver!", and the January, 1968 issue, featuring the two plays "White Lies" and "Black Comedy".
In addition to the information about the productions, each program contains several theater articles, including an interview with Ingrid Bergman in the 1968 issue. Both are filled with period ads, some in color, for products like cars, cosmetics, clothing, cigarettes, whiskey and more, as well as ads for local restaurants and other businesses. The 1968 program is in very good condition, with pages well-attached to the cover and no tears, although there are a few wrinkles and a light crease vertically down the middle. There is a small bit of wear to the cover and some light soiling/browning. The 1965 program is in good condition overall, with pages well-attached to the cover and no tears. It has gotten partially wet at some point so there is wrinkling on the pages and some discoloration in places but all text and illustrations are easily visible.
